England fans were heard taunting broadcaster Channel 4 with an X-rated chant following the drab display away at North Macedonia.
Those watching at home could hear the fans loudly sing, ‘Channel 4 is f***** s***’ at the Tose Proeski Arena.
Host Jules Breach and pundit Joe Cole showed their immense professionalism by failing to react as they kept their cool to continue discussing the match.
Though the same can’t be said for ex-Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott, who at first didn’t react to the song from the stands.
But the two-time Premier League winner couldn’t help but let out a wry smile as the chanting got progressively louder.
Social media was loving the incident, as one X user said: “Best entertainment of the night was the chants.”
Another quipped: “”England away fans chanting ‘Channel 4 is f***** s***’ during the post-match analysis is the highlight of the international break.”
A third added: “Fair play to Joleon Lescott trying his best not to laugh.”

This user then posted: “Best sports fans in world tbh British football chants and banter cant be beat.”
Meanwhile another simply stated: “How do they keep a straight face when they hear that.”
It what was another uninspiring display from England following Friday’s 2-0 win over Malta, as they had to come back from behind to nick a point.
Enis Bardhi broke the deadlock in the 41st minute after he tapped in the rebound from his missed penalty, which Jordan Pickford initially saved.
It was left to England’s all-time top scorer Harry Kane to help his side remain unbeaten, as he forced an own goal just seconds after coming on.
Gareth Southgate‘s men will now be in Pot 1 for next summer’s European Championship, where they go into the tournament as one of the favourites.
