Taylor Swift had her own sequel on Sunday Night Football by attending another Kansas City Chiefs win.
The superstar musician, who has been romantically linked to Chiefs s Travis Kelce, turned up with a number of A-list celebrities in tow.
Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Blake Lively, and Sophie Turner were among those who was with Swift to watch Kelce’s team defeat the New York Jets 23-20 at the MetLife Stadium.
And, of course, Swift was everywhere as NBC covered the biggest craze that is blending pop culture with professional sports.
Sleuths on social media believe they know why a few certain Hollywood stars were with her in New York.
“I keep saying Taylor Swift is going to be in Deadpool 3 and nobody believes me,” one X user pointed out on Sunday.
“She’s with the whole Deadpool 3 team. Taylor Swift as Dazzler seemingly confirmed,” another social media sleuth posted.
Another tweeter appeared to be a little tired of Swift being everywhere, even more than normal.
Reynolds is best known as Deadpool. But the Hollywood smart guy also has strong ties to the other version of football and turned Wrexham into an international name.
Kansas City got off to a great start with Swift’s help on Sunday, taking a 17-0 first-quarter lead against New York.
But the game was tied at 20 in the third quarter and the Chiefs were held to only three second-half points.
It wasn’t a great night for Mahomes, who threw two interceptions and was limited to 203 passing yards.
“I knew I put us in two bad positions,” Mahomes said. “No one points fingers in that locker room. We all play together. Not everything is going to be pretty, but the guys responded and we found a way to win.”
Kelce had a better game, catching six passes for a team-high 60 yards.
Kansas City improved to 3-1 and is now 2-0 with Swift cheering on the reigning Super Bowl champion Chiefs.
She definitely knows how to pick her teams.
Or maybe Swift is just helping Reynolds and Jackman make a little more money on the third instalment of Deadpool on the big screen.
The Marvel universe hasn’t been the same since The Avengers faced their endgame.
Swift could be the perfect antidote to make Marvel hip again.
